Sedulo are a national accountancy firm that recently expanded in to Liverpool City Region. Having acquired Wilson Henry – one of the longest established business advisory firms in the city. The company saw their staff number almost quadruple from 9 to almost 40 firmly establishing them in the Liverpool market.

With offices in Manchester, Leeds and London the decision to move to the city was a natural step for Sedulo who were attracted by the City Region’s strong professional services sector, big brands, creative industries and sporting credentials which affiliated with their company ethos and client base. The opportunity to welcome an established acquisition such as Wilson Henry to their group only added to this with its solid foundations in place for Sedulo to overlay their advisory services of corporate finance, banking, wealth management, R&D, mortgages and forensic accounting.

With a client base that already includes Roxy Ballroom, Forever Unique, Missy Empire, England Boxing and Warrington Wolves the firm look to provide a more diverse offering than traditional accountancy firms, with a £1.4million office investment in Exchange Flags which includes a private members area for clients totalling 7,000 sqft.

Boasting an American Diner, impressive bar styled on The Ivy, Victorian rooftop terrace and the Klopp /Kendall Suite – complete with signed shirts from Sir Kenny Dalglish and Kevin Ratcliffe, table football machine and dugout seating in blue and red set against Goodison Park and Anfield the members club offers clients a variety of space to use for free for meetings, events or to get a change of scene for a few hours.

Paul Cheetham-Karcz, Managing Partner at Sedulo Group says “Liverpool is a city full of exciting, growing businesses and we love to take traditional services and make them contemporary for those companies. Liverpool, Leeds and Manchester are the UK’s most dynamic cities outside of London and I wanted us to be the first financial advisory firm that had a real hold in each city. People have tried it before with a desk or two but we wanted to build a stronghold in all three and purposely signed a ten-year lease in the heart of the city and invested almost half a million pounds in developing the space into an innovative environment”.
