LIVERPOOL CITY REGION HEALTH & LIFE SCIENCES EVENT – ‘HEALTH & WELL BEING & THE LIVERPOOL PLAN

22nd April 2021
FRIDAY 30 APRIL
10.00AM
ONLINE EVENT

As we see the UK cautiously starting to return to life outdoors, Liverpool Chamber is bringing some of the leaders in healthcare together to talk about the future.

Liverpool has world class assets in innovation and healthcare. We look to see how this sector is developing, changing, responding and managing whilst recovering from the health crisis.

This panel explores the future of healthcare – how is the innovation and investment around health care changing and how will this impact on our futures and that of the economy particularly in the current context. How do the assets around healthcare contribute to the city’s sense of place and what does it mean for the future?

As the recent Bruntwood investment deal with Sciontec and the opening of Rutherford Cancer Centre demonstrates as well as the opening of Royal College of Physicians North, this sector in this city is growing and developing with ever new technologies and approaches. This combined with world leading expertise at HE and FE level means we have a constant regeneration programme in this sector. Though how this impacts on the ground and what it means for the population needs to be translated.

Leaders across the sector, private and public and business and education join the conversation to explore this topic.
