Triton to build £6.2m Liverpool City Region logistics hub
Industrial developer and asset manager Chancerygate has appointed construction company Triton to build 12 logistics units offering a total 102,485 sq ft logistics space in the Liverpool city region after securing a £6.2m contract.
The units which comprise the second phase of the Mersey Reach development in Dunnings Bridge Road in Aintree.
The first phase on the 13.5-acre site with direct access to the Port of Liverpool, comprised 112,500 sq ft across four units. It was delivered and pre-let before being sold to Northwood Urban Logistics.
The 12 new units will range in size from 4,036 sq ft to 29,719 sq ft. to include internal offices and yard space. Chancerygate currently has around 3m sq ft of industrial space under construction and manages in excess of £255m of assets.
The build team from Triton Construction, along with Chancerygate and Northwood Urban Logistics met on site last week to mark the official start on site for the project which is expected to be completed at the start of 2022.

Northwood Urban Logistics is funding the projects and says the units will be available from February 2022 and is already attracting early interest from trade counter, industrial and warehousing operators.
